Review
This book was amazing!! I loved the romance between Kenneth and Tessa. In the beginning though I seriously thought that she was kind of a b----, and that she didn’t deserve Kenneth at all. But she got over self by the end and finally found the person she wanted to be with. I fell in love with Kenneth right away and wanted to kill his wife’s murderer myself. I could totally understand why he didn’t feel like there was any reason to live. When someone goes through something like that there is a big giant hole in their heart and it will take a lot to fix. I was so happy when he found Tessa to fill that hole up. Not only was Tessa his new love but she was also a mermaid, which just adds some twist to the story which I loved. She wanted to know more about her family’s history which she did, with the help of her ex who was also not a very good person. I don’t care even if he was hot, he was a major jerk. They go on this adventure to search for a lost island under water, where they believe Mer use to be. On this adventure they find the lost city behind a closed gate, along with tons of Mer people. Unfortunately some of these Mer people weren’t very nice, and let’s just say there was a reason why the gate was closed to begin with. Tessa, Kenneth and her ex, find themselves in a terrible situation and they have to find a way out of it. But that’s all I am saying, you just got to read this book for yourself. It’s that good ;). This book had a little bit of everything I love; romance, mystery, fantasy, drama. I can’t wait for the next one to come out!!
